Websites Blackout Over Anti-Piracy Bill

A Wednesday blackout by Wikipedia, Mozilla, and other big-name websites is enough to give some senators second thoughts, according to Politico.

The websites are protesting against legislation pending in the U.S. Congress intended to crack down on online sales of pirated U.S. movies, music, or other goods by forcing internet companies to block access to foreign sites.

I see the protest as a good and healthy thing, since I believe technological advancement, education, and unity are promoted by a free internet.

This is really about democracy.
