Saint Anthony The Great

Saint Anthony the Great (251-356), is an Egyptian saint, who is much venerated in Orthodox and Catholic Churches.

He is one of the great Fathers of the Church, and is often regarded as the founder of Christian monasticism.

Saint Anthony spent twenty years in complete isolation and constant struggle with the demons, and he finally achieved perfect calm.

Saint Anthony prophesied about the persecution that was about to happen to the Church and the control of the heretics over it, the Church victory and its return to its formal glory, and the end of the age.
