Hac libertate nos Christus liberavit; state igitur et nolite iterum iugo servitutis detineri. (Galatians 5:1)
The Local reports Swedish King Carl XVI Gustaf has stated that he has no plans to retire, despite the occasion of his 65th birthday on Saturday.
"It is tradition that the Monarch carries on in his duties as long as he is of a sound mind", he told news agency TT in an interview on Tuesday.
The King doesn’t think that turning 65 is such an important anniversary, despite it being retirement age in Sweden, and he has no plans to cut down on work hours in the near future.
"I have no intention to start feeding the birds yet, in any case", he said.
Democracy can only be guaranteed and preserved through Constitutional Monarchy.
I am a big fan of Constitutional Monarchy and I wish Swedish King Carl XVI Gustaf a Happy Birthday!
Vive Le Roi!
I also wish everybody a Happy Walpurgis Night!
"Omnes honorate, fraternitatem diligite, Deum timete, regem honorificate", 1 Peter 2:17.

Trevlig valborg! Do you see any big fire you think. In my village there will be a big fire to salute the spring. Nice! You sit in France as a swede in a republic and is a roayalist! Keep up!
Thanks Helena! :-)
We have nice summer weather in Lyon, so no fire is needed here for that reason.
Once upon a time this was the ancient capital city of France.
As people are celebrating their Royal families across Europe, who knows, maybe people will be fired up for Monarchy here in France too?
Belgium lacks a government since more than a year and would function much better as a French province ruled from Paris, than as a little nation without political power.
In return the Belgian King - who does a great job keeping his messy kingdom together - would make a splendid King of France.
