Iran Cleric: Mideast Unrest Replay Of Our 1979 Islamic Revolution

Nos scimus quoniam translati sumus de morte in vitam, quoniam diligimus fratres; qui non diligit, manet in morte. (1 John 3:14)

Haaretz reports Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami of Iran said protests in Egypt and Tunisia are "inspired by Iran's Islamic revolution and these countries are de facto rocked by the aftershock of the Iranian revolution".

I don't agree with that description, because the protests in Egypt and Tunisia has more to do with poverty and social problems.

In Egypt the people rather wants to get rid of old stereotypes.

The Egyptian people is poor, hungry, and tired, and that is why Egypt has these protests.

The Egyptians are fed up with poverty and religious repression.

The Egyptian revolt is inspired by a wish for freedom and opportunity.

It only took two minutes to close down the Internet in Egypt, which shows how little people really have to say there.

Accordingly, the Egyptian society is very vulnerable.

Egypt is a great country.

My grandmother was born in Cairo in 1900.

What we see now is the beginning of a new better world, based on intelligence and rationality.

The Egyptians are kind and intelligent.

They are naturally a very religious people.

Egypt doesn't need a religious revolution, because Egypt is religion.

The mysteries originate from Egypt like the Tarot wisdom.

Our alphabets - Greek, Hebrew, and Latin - have their roots in Egypt.

Our religion, the five books of Moses, originates from Egypt.

When the oppression in Israel got too bad, the family of Jesus Christ fled to Egypt.

Egypt was always a great and hospitable country.

But sometimes things turned bad.

Moses killed the Egyptian, see Exodus 2:14, and Acts 7:28.

But the Egyptian religion conquered Israel forever.

Jerusalem is called Egypt, see Revelation 11:8.

The Temple, which is going to be built on the Temple Mount in Israel, will have all its spiritual inspiration from Egypt.

Egypt, Greece, and Israel will always be inseparable friends.

"Expectantes beatam spem et adventum gloriae magni Dei et salvatoris nostri Iesu Christi", Titus 2:13.
