Superstitious Beliefs Getting More Common

Si habueritis fidem sicut granum sinapis, dicetis monti huic: "Transi hinc illuc!", et transibit, et nihil inpossibile erit vobis. (Matthew 17:20)

Discovery News reports superstitious beliefs are getting more common.

Well, I think most people always believed in the promises of their politicians.

Anyway, contrary to common stereotypes, a research reveals no single profile of a person who accepts the paranormal.

For some, the paranormal serves as just another way of explaining the world.

For others, extraordinary phenomena offers opportunities to chase mysteries, experience thrills, and even achieve celebrity status.

Women are most likely to believe they live in haunted houses.

College graduates are most likely to have out-of-body experiences.

And unmarried white men are most likely to believe in UFOs.

Christopher Bader said: "These are not people trying to explain a crazy world".

Bader added: "They are trying to prove to themselves that they aren't crazy".

The Examiner reports airline passengers saw a "metallic disc" over Nevada a few months ago.

Two passengers aboard a San Francisco flight bound for Atlanta report watching a "whitish, greyish, metallic disc" for about 10 seconds over Nevada at 1:40 p.m. PST on May 29, 2010, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON).

"It had no wings, no tail, no windows, no markings, no trail and no lights", one of the two witnesses said.

The witness said the UFO appeared as only one large Frisbee with the rounded top, tapering down on either side into a flattish bottom.

The captain of the aircraft said it was no other plane.

We have much to discover out there.

"Estote ergo vos perfecti, sicut et Pater vester caelestis perfectus est", Matthew 5:48.
