France Wants EU Seat At Mideast Peace Talks
Omnis anima potestatibus sublimioribus subdita sit. Non est enim potestas nisi a Deo; quae autem sunt, a Deo ordinatae sunt. (Romans 13:1)
Ynetnews reports French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner says the European Union should have a seat at next week's start of US-backed peace talks in Washington between Israel and the Palestinians.
French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner says it would be "too bad" if the EU was locked out - noting the bloc's political involvement in the region and its role as a top contributor of financial aid to the Palestinians.
I agree with Bernard Kouchner and I also think France would be a worthy representative of the EU.
I moved to France from Sweden a little over two months ago, and I'm very impressed by the people, the beauty of Lyon, and the river Rhône where I live.
Today, I even enjoyed watching a Lion in the beautiful Parc Tête d'Or nearby.
Modern Europe has many problems.
One serious problem is that Europe not only is a socialist continent, but also is very divided in many many languages and countries.
Unfortunately France is a Republic like many other European countries, which I can see is against the character of people living here.
But I don't blame the locals for that.
The present French generation has unfortunately never learned the benefits of constitutional monarchy.
Without the French Revolution, France would have been the leading country in Europe today, and both the Russian revolution, and the world wars would probably have been avoided.
I believe things will change, because I have noticed people here have noble hearts.
That also means that France will ultimately seek the best for Israel and for all parties involved.
What is best for Israel, will not only be best for the Jews, but it will actually be the best for all the peoples living in the Middle East, and also for all peoples around our planet.
The Jews have a special mission, which I believe is outlined in the Bible.
It was somewhat depressing, earlier today, to see the limited space the Lion had around him.
