Doomsday Shelters Making A Comeback

Sic enim dilexit Deus mundum, ut Filium suum unigenitum daret, ut omnis, qui credit in eum, non pereat, sed habeat vitam aeternam. (John 3:16)

USA Today reports underground shelters are becoming popular again.

Underground shelters were very popular during the cold war in the 1950s and '60s.

As a kid I went to school in Sweden, and my teacher told us in the late '60s, we needed the shelters under the school, because the Russians were going to nuke us within 10 years.

The shelters are designed to give protection against nuclear or terrorist attacks, killer asteroids, earthquakes, solar flares, or tsunamis.

A shelter that is suitable for 750 people, built and installed underground, can cost up to $41 million.

Robert Vicino, who launched the Vivos project last December, says he seeks buyers willing to pay $50.000 for adults and $25.000 for children.

Vicino says: "We're not creating the fear; the fear is already out there. We're creating a solution".

Now there are people believing they will be raptured before the catastrophe hits.

"But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be", see Matthew 24:37.

The flood will come and take them all away, see Matthew 24:39.

On those remaining, fire and brimstone will rain from heaven destroying them all, see Luke 17:29.

Yet we are promised that the world is without end, see Ephesians 3:21.

"Quicumque quaesierit animam suam salvam facere, perdet illam; et, quicumque perdiderit illam, vivificabit eam", Luke 17:33.
