Nobis autem revelavit Deus per Spiritum; Spiritus enim omnia scrutatur, etiam profunda Dei. (1 Corinthians 2:10)
FOXNews reports the Vatican said on Friday it will not accept the apology given by British Bishop Richard Williamson, whose denial of the Holocaust embroiled Pope Benedict XVI in controversy, according to Reuters.
Vatican spokesman the Rev. Federico Lombardi said Friday that Bishop Richard Williamson's statement "does not seem to respect the conditions" the Vatican set out for him.
The Vatican on Feb. 4 said Williamson must "absolutely and unequivocally distance himself" from his remarks if he wants to be admitted as a prelate in the Church.
Williamson apologized for his remarks Thursday. But he did not say his comments had been erroneous, or that he no longer believed them.
The only thing Williamson is sorry about is being kicked out of his job.
Williamson still denies 6 million Jews were killed during the Holocaust, and maintains that no Jew was gassed, although this has been proven.
If Williamson denies what is so very obvious, how could he convince anyone about the deity of Jesus Christ, and that Jesus walked on water, turned water to wine, and was resurrected from the dead?
From his latest statement, Williamson implies that he still does not believe that the Holocaust took place, but he "is sorry that he said it".
"This is not an apology but simply spin", as a commentator wrote in Jerusalem Post.
Williamson apologized to the Church - for giving Pope Benedict XVI a hard time - but never for what he had said.
Pope Benedict XVI does the right thing, when he demands his Bishops should hold a high standard, especially when it comes to their views on God's elect, the Jews.
