What Is The Bottomless Pit?

Et in his omnibus inter nos et vos chasma magnum firmatum est, ut hii, qui volunt hinc transire ad vos, non possint, neque inde huc transmeare. (Luke 16:26)

Why does the Lord God let the demons out of the Bottomless Pit to deceive the Nations of the Earth?

And does a gigantic, invisible monster, with shining eyes, stalking the unawares at night, exist?

Yes it does, but only for a limited time, because our Savior wants us to understand the cunning evil, which we - "inventors of evil things", see Romans 1:30 - have invented, and which He holds in the Abyss.

"And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit", see Revelation 9:1.

An experiment in 1943, during WWII, created an enormous amount of energy, which got stuck in the space time domain.

This created a rift, a hole, in the space time area - the Bottomless Pit - and now a terrible creature - the King of the Bottomless Pit - gets through and will thrash our entire Planet.

Time and space are actually interconnected, and they are one and the same thing.

"And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit", see Revelation 9:2.

But remember that the Lord God holds the final power over the Bottomless Pit.

"And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day", see Jude 1:6.

Jesus said: "how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man?", see Matthew 12:29.

And he who holds the Spiritual chain in his hand, by the power of our Savior’s Resurrection and His shed blood on the Cross, has effectively disarmed the power of the Devil, the authorities, and the demons, by the power of the Cross of Christ our Savior.

"Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out", see John 12:31.

The Abyss, or Bottomless Pit, appears in the New Testament, as a holding place for Satan and his horde of demons, see Revelation 9:11 and 12:4.

"And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them", see Revelation 11:7.

But then, the Spiritual chain will keep the Devil from deceiving the nations until the 1000 years near fulfillment.

"And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years", see Revelation 20:1 - 2.

The hole - the Bottomless Pit - that bad, dangerous, and serious rift, in the space time dimension, will ultimately be repaired.

"And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever", see Revelation 20:10.

"Bestiam, quam vidisti, fuit et non est, et ascensura est de abysso et in interitum ibit. Et mirabuntur inhabitantes terram, quorum non sunt scripta nomina in libro vitae a constitutione mundi, videntes bestiam, quia erat et non est", Revelation 17:8.
